Predictions for 2011, and why not? 2012.

We'll all be one and two years older, except those who smoke, 4.
Manitobans will continue to move South, next Winter, all the way to Brazil.
Winnipeg's new Mayor J.G. will install a merry-go-round at every traffic circle in the city.
The Nashville Predators will move North and call themselves the Saskatoon Berries.
The fence the Yanks are building at the border will cost them alot of grade A Canadian lumber, skyrocketing the Loony to 2 bucks American by the end of the world, oops, year.

For the most part, I don't have a clue as what'll happen next year, but I will make one prediction ( probably more of just a wish and a gut feeling) ...that the NDP will be voted out next election and McFayden will win by default.

NDP get voted out. Transfer payments decrease. Gov't finallly gets cut in MB. Hydro rates go up to true market value for all Manitobans, thereby offsetting some of the decrease in transfer payments. It's McFadyen, by the way.

Harper wins another minority. Quietly, the knives are out for him to replace him with someone who can win a majority.

Prince Whatshisname gets huge tv rating for the Royal wedding, which I will not watch. Kate trips and breaks a heel while walking down the aisle which some will see as a harbringer of bad times ahead for their marriage.

Prince Harry gets outed in Wikileaks for cocaine use but it's all discredited by Buckingham Palace.

Obama continues drop in popularity as the US economy continues to tank. Fear begins to set in as the possibility becomes increasingly real that the US won't be able to pay for the interest on their debt, less than ten years down the road. Both the Dems and Republicans quietly think of being brought back to prosperity by that old standby, war, but with who? Iran followed by North Korea. The Canadian dollar continues to appear to be a stable currency and thus stays close to parity with the US dollar.

Thousands of Winnipeggers take time off work to sandbag their properties as well as the properties of complete strangers. Once again, we are saved by the Floodway, but southern MB communities are hit hard, with many farm houses turned into virtual islands. The Tories are asked for a permanent solution for this part of the Province.

2011. ELECTIONS (might come, might not as per the past eight years).

2012. The dajjal rises and flips the world on it's head. End of times and all.

The Federal Liberals and the NDP get together to run only the one rep per seat , the one that got the highest number of votes , in order to get the Conservatives out of power.

Federal government increases to $24 Billion from $8 Billion budget for Aboriginals.
Fed government changes its retirement funds for old age recepients to closer follow its retirement funding for government politicians.
Harper gets funding going for daycare for all

New Bomber stadium gets built in Hamilton

City helicopter gets stolen while fflying over the North End

Phoenix Coyotes and Atlanta Thrashers move to Winnipeg for the 2011/12 season. Teams are now know as Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Thrashers. Both teams play out of the MTS Centre. Winnipeg Jets win the 2012 Stanley Cup over the Manitoba Thrashers.

1. Nothing will be done (on any front) concerning rapid transit.
2. Nothing will be done about Youth Crime.
3. Social Services will continue to be Manitoba's fastest growing industry.
4. I won't be any less cynical.

6. SMW reduces his alcohol intake drastically.

I was right on all but one thing... the October wedding. We're having it this coming May.
