Just as an FYI to this, Canwest/GlobalTV of old owns all of the specialty channels here in Canada, of which a Fox News channel would be one of. They own the likes of Fox Soccer World Canada, Fox Soccer Channel, HGTV, Mystery TV, National Geographic Channel, Showcase, History and TVTropolis to name a few. And of the ones that have "live" broadcasting like Fox Soccer World Canada, the studios are located in Winnipeg in the CanWest Building.

SunTV is NOT a Fox Network nor is it owned by Canwest.
It is owned by Quebecor.

Ok then, I don't keep up on these things as I don't really watch the news on TV, not home at 6PM and am already asleep for the late news for the most part. And really if this new station is going to be like its paper counter part, will it be worth the 30 minutes of my life that I would never get back? I think not.

Dude is probably tired of all the BS and inertia he encounters daily in trying to run the city. Laubenstein was supposed to be the great salvation this city needed.
Give me the job. I'll turn the unproductive deadwood around, cut loose the redundant driftwood, turn off the "businesses" such as the parking authority, fix 311, and SERVE the fricking citizens.

I figured it out
Sammie is going to be the new personality and the new director of the thing (which is why the ex pres stepped down). It will be based in Winnipeg and Sam is stepping down as Mayor after the election.
