I was thinking about giving away some beds, but my kids would probably wake up long before I got them to the curb.

Who needs a give away weekend. I can put anything on my curb and it will be gone in under 24 hours.

What are you planning on selling? It won't be GC's former washer & dryer since I plan on getting them before you!

4)have them run around friday night saturday morning real early and get all the good stuff
5)next weekend make them hold a yard sale Smile
6) profit... money...plus they are out of your hair..err.. well I guess for you they just wont be there...

Try usedwinnipeg.com or kijiji.

People will come get them FOR you.

Especially if you list them as free...working or not...you'd have them out of your house by the end of the weekend.

I totally need a wife.

I'm probably tossing a bazillion fugly light fixtures on the lawn that my husband extricated from the ceiling earlier in the week. The previous owners of the home had some interesting decor going on. Have a fugly couch that didn't fit down the stairs to the basement and a box spring that didn't fit down the stairs or up the stairs (damn 88 year old house and it's narrow stairs) but I can't see my husband allowing me to put them on the lawn.

I can cut your sofa in half so it will fit down the stairs, Citizen. Either cut the lags, or leave the sofa in the middle of the street and I will get GOM to join me for breakfast, and we'll cut by your address and drive over the sofa and then it should fit.
There are probably a few places on Kijiiji that will come right over and pickup a free one. Try it, it works great.

My husband says I can't put things on the lawn. So much for that.

I put a stack of stuff out on Saturday at around noon and all of it was gone before 2pm.

In advance of moving I placed a slew of "art" pieces on the boulevard at about 7AM this morning. All but one were gone before 8AM.

But in a brief tour of River Heights/Fort Rouge this morning I saw very few offerings. Perhaps the early worms have been at work...
