Hear on the news last night where there are 40 thousand cops and secret service in Washington to protect him during the event. Gee if jtf were there what would he say of the bill , which the taxpayer foots.

Wonder what the bill would be if Obama were to be assassinated? This man promises to lift American spirits. Get them out of Iraq. Replace Dubbya. All good.

No the cost to lose this man would be so much higher than the cost of a few cops...

Obama is giving the Americans what they haven't had in a long time........something called hope. I doubt anyone will complain too loudly about protection, its not that much out of the ordinary at an inaugural event. I see greatness in this man, something I've not seen in an American president in a long time. Lets hope they do their utmost to protect him.

I will wait to see what Obama does. I hope he is the change the Americans need. Even if his administration mirrors Clinton's from the 90's...we shall see what Obama does.

The terrorists won't touch Obama. They WANT Obama...he's a leftist...and will pull troops out and stop the fighting. Plus, if they kill Obama, they make him a martyr...and then the US REALLY goes to war...but this time with the support of most the other countries in the world.

If anything happens to Obama, it will most likely be from within the US...some group who either doesn't like his policy, his proclamation of change, or his colour. They will try to make it look like a terrorist did it...in order to keep the US at war...and probably would prefer Biden in office since his son is military, as was Biden.

I'd be more interested to see what Obama thinks he can accomplish? Right now he seems more like a televangelist than a leader...and right now everyone around him is agreeing with everything he says...we'll see how things go when they start actually challenging his wishes.

I've discussed this thoroughly in another thread...but basically he (and the other Democrats...starting with Carter) gave away the country to the scum and worthless who will NEVER pay it back, and who will keep taking as long as the government is willing to give it.

He gave away the US to the UN...committed the US forces to serve the UN as though they were serving their own country, which made the US Forces scattered and unprepared.

I shouldn't say it was only Clinton...it was most of the Democrats...but you add to that the disgrace he brought to the office with his affairs and lying, and then claiming he wasn't lying. It makes him no better than the scum he gave all the money away to. I'm not saying politicians don't lie...or that they don't have affairs...but they keep them hidden and then try and hide behind the lie.

I can't say Bush Sr. would've been better those first 4 years...and Clinton may have done better than some other options...but IMO...he was a disgrace to America...at a time when they needed a leader...America got a clown.

I would think lying about weapons of mass destruction and invading a sovereign nation under false pretenses is much worse than lying about your own personal sex life.

I would agree. Dubya might well be the very worst president in their history. Plus, he is an idiot.

Watching the Military Channel yesterday about the building of nuclear powered aircraft carriers. Somehow, the USS Barack Obama, just doesn't convey the presence that those ships represent.

Heh...you don't become President of the United States if you're a moron. Saying so is moronic.

why can people say.. its great that our president is black because that will do lots to bring forward black issues in america and the world but if someone said. its great that our president is white..... he would be ostrasized and possible even labeled racist?

me. I really dont see Obama doing anything of note for "the black man" as he will be far to preoccupied with the sufficating defecit and debt and cleaning up some of the bush "mistakes"
hell I dont even recall that Obama has actually promised to do anything for "the black man" all of his promises are aimed where they should be "to everybody"

sorry just watching some of this crap on TV last night and hell some of the TV stations seem to be trying to legetimize themselves by trying to make sure its a black interviewer interviewing the black people who think they have something to say.
