A press release involving the NDP government and shitters....seems appropriate.

W.C. Potts is the funniest name I have ever heard for a toilet dealer!

I notice they include Home Depot but not Rona....

its says it wants to help save 80 million litres per year.

how many litres does a dual flush save on the lower flush? 4 litres at most?

so thats 20 million flushes would have to happen to make just this save that water.
what do you say 3 low flo flushes per day per person? ( even less considering most people dont carry their toilet to school or work )
so we will say 3 anyway. so 1095 flushes per person per year or 4380 litres per person per year
or about 4600 people would have to use this. hmm pretty attainable I guess.

Interesting.

$50 doesn't seem like a whole lot. I wonder how many will actually be swayed by that amount.

quick check of the Homedepot website and that is about half of the pretax cost of one. so thats s decent savings.

figure say 3 people in a house? so 16000 litres per year in savings
we are charged per cubic foot
so 1 cubic foot = 28 liters
16000/28 = 571 cubic feet
3.55 per 100 cubic feet

or about $20 year in savings
not bad

Wouldn't it cost less if they just put sand ashtrays in the jons so the smokers would just smoke and not pretend they've used the toilet by flushing their cigs down the toilet?

Makes me laugh. They put smoke detectors in the jons here in a science lab building. Every time the dumb broads (no offence smarter WPG gals) go there and smoke their brains out, the smoke alarm goes off and they come running out of the restroom, thinking there's a fire... This has been going on for at least two years now... I'd say, pathetic... confused

Wow! Those have really come down in price. I remember seeing them not too long ago for around $600

When I was looking at prices online at Home Depot's website last month, it looked like $50 could buy you half of a tank...and that was the cheapest tank. Plus you still had to buy the rest of the toilet!

I'm looking at taking advantage of the $50 rebate, and upgrading the outdated and just barely functional, throne myself.

Hoping that the rebate will cover more then just the taxes...it's supposed to be an incentive! Very Happy

I take it this is his biggest regret , 6 liters are great mine works fine most who have problems, it is not the toilet but the people . Not sure why we are not on list but we are the major sponsor of the Rona Home Expressions Show this spring and Depot is not in the building . The next 3 yrs acutely
