"Therefore, we know that's something he likes: Kenney likes to blow
taxpayer dough on himself. In this regard, he's a lot like his
competitor in the hush-hush campaign to succeed Stephen Harper, Peter
MacKay. The two of them can spend taxpayers' dollars like it's water."

Harper is not a well liked man. Not sure if the timing is right but I'm not against it...

Who's leading the "hush-hush campaign," Bob Rae?

Bob Rae could not lead his way out of a wet paper bag. Nor could that twit heading up the ndp.

Canadian politics is really in a sad place...

Harper is not the Conservative leader, but the Reform leader!

Harper's stock has just begun to climb. Give him until June and see what his gov't gets done. Then in 3 years we'll see a stronger majority and he will be the leader at that time. That's my bet.

Agreed. He's just barely into a majority. This is what Canadians wanted. He has free reign to do as he pleases.

I love the decision to not bother listening to the opposition! This cuts down on the useless ideas of the communists and the separatists, and gets on with doing what the conservative majority was elected to do!

The flap over funding for health care is such a non issue. The federal government announced that for the next 6 years a 6% increase will continue, and then after that a minimum of 3%.

Seems fair to me, but the provincial health ministers are bitching that "it will split the country"!

What a crock! All that happened was they were told this is our conservative plan, don't waste time on useless meetings!

Good for Harper and Jim ,tiny tim, Flaherty!

Hard to say. Depends if the parties pick good leaders or if they merge, etc. I suspect the NDP & Liberals will not merge, thus making it easier for the Cons to get back in with whoever their leader is.

Every Conservative leader has to be very strong in controlling things. Brian Mulrooney in one of his bookks made that very clear. That is how politcs works.

Harper is very good at that because he has to be!

I believe in Him, and we have given Him a majority to allow Him to do what the party told us !

They are doing what they promised, and I think that they are right in not wasting any time listening to the powerless opposition!

That makes politics so interesting for me.
