this guy builds snowzilla every year
http://www.snowzilla.org/

The city had ordered a cease and dissist order for this year.. but mysteriously snowzilla still appeared. The city is against it because of its a huge danger itself.. but also because of the crazy ass amount of traffic it generates.

So would you care if snowzilla was on your street?

I would if he was battling Snow Mothra or Snow Ghidora at the time.

Absolutely...I think it's awesome.

If I had the room in my yard...I'd build the same thing....or a GIANT ice fort for the kids to play in.

Cease & desist orders are because some whiner with no holiday spirit started crying to someone. They whiner should move away...maybe to Iran, or China...they don't let you do things like that there...so the whiner should be quite happy.

( to be fair... the guy also apparently runs an illegal junk yard out of his back yard and is on the hook for fines and penalties to the city to the tune of $100K )

so it might just be that the whiners have a little bit of a case in this one..

but who cares.. ITS AWESOME... if i had the time I would definately be doing this..

That's not fair though.

If he's on the hook for the junk yard...then get him for the junk yard...but leave the snowman alone.

This almost compares to the drive through light show out in ESP around Gauthier's community a few years ago (not sure if they are still doing it thisyear, haven't been out that way). At one point I think they were actually contemplating charging a fee (to donate to Cheer Board) but not sure if that happened either. We used to take the kids through there when they were younger and we would park at the park just off Henderson Highway south of the community and walk in.

ooo oooo is the Train running in Charleswood this year?

They decorate the forest and you ride a train through their woods.. donations go to harvest or cheer board

Would rather have a SnowZilla on my street than the lights and noise of those idgits in Florida (over 60, 000 lights and 350 computer commands and loud crap like Mannheim Steamroller! (GAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) SnowZilla could become a performance art piece, the owner, if he had lived in Canada, could have gotten a Canada Council grant to examine the parallels between popular culture and christmas or are they one in the same? Oops....better go and write that grant application!
