Deja-vu.
I could have sworn you wrote this already...
Are you recycling posts?
If yes, then me thinks you should be penalized 2 minutes in detention in the dungeon and get 2500 posts detracted from your profile.
Case dismissed.

They are just following what MA had already done, and NJ.

What's amazing is the stupidity of the politicians...and the fact that they require students to take US History in school...but forget that very class when they start passing stupid laws & taxes.

The American Revolution was triggered by just "one more tax", by enough people who were fed up with them.

You all think Barack is going to "save" things? Look for MORE taxes and MORE excuses on why he needs them. Democrats are "tax happy", believing the public put them in the office, so the public MUST want the taxes to begin with.

And it's never a tax that will affect everyone. It's a tax that affects small "pockets" of people...till eventually everyone has a new tax on them.

Here's an example: movies, sporting events, taxis, limousines, cable television, satellite
radio, cigars, beer, wine, and luxury goods like cars, boats, jewelry
and furs.

What do they ALL have in common?

They are ALL considered "non-essential" items. Things people CHOOSE to buy...so the taxes get implemented because those that DON'T CHOOSE to consume those items...say "sure...it doesn't effect me".

What most of you here did not know about the US before the FIRST Bush election, is that there were enough people fed up with Clinton, and his taxing, and his giving everyone's money to the so called "needy", that there was a complete overthrow of government in the works. Had Gore been elected, it would have likely occurred in the first year.

I don't know if you've heard the latest news...but more than 100,000 applications for immigration have been received by Americans in the past month around the world. People who KNOW Obama is not going to do well for the US. He's going to tax everyone more and claim it's to "recover" and let the poor have a "chance" again. They were given their chances by Carter and by Clinton, and all they did was put a bigger drain on the government...and NOW the US is paying for the policies set forth by the LAST TWO Democratic Presidents...who gave the country away with a low interest rate.
