Have you been to the Shakin' All Over exhibit at the Manitoba Museum?

Displays added to museum's pop-music artifact exhibition Shakin’ All Over

I went, I wasn't really impressed.

Too many of the displays had small printing that made it hard to read the explanations; too many of the pictures had inadequate explanations. I guess if you had the memory to be able to recognize the faces of people who were in music back then, you'd get more out of this display. It only cost $2.50 to go in and see it though.

What we need is the Asper's to take control of the space so we would get the largest, world class exhibition!! lol

I think they had a Beatles exhibit. Or maybe that was the Art Gallery.

I guess if someone had a personal interest or connection, there would be a wow connection. Or maybe we've become desensitized in this world of celebrity culture and it takes a lot more to wow us.

When I say WOW I mean something like any of the Egyptian exhibits....something educational and fascinating that would have a broad appeal.

I remember the TV commercial for the Beatles exhibit - the music of the commercial was NOT from the Beatles but some artifical 60s sounding jam. No way would I have gone to the exhibit after hearing that.
