Let's see how creative our members are.

This IS a community, and we'd like to see what you think of it.

We're looking for any kind of graphic art, designs, drawings, paintings, etc. which shows your interest in Winnipeg and/or the Sandbox.

While I personally have varying standards when it comes to "profane" or "vulgar", we want items which would be "G-rated".

You can either post your items here in this thread, or send them to me via e-mail or PM for review and posting.

In order to give you time to get something done, but so that this doesn't take forever to get done, we'll have a deadline of August 31, 2010 for all submissions.

All submissions will then be posted in a new thread for a voting process so our community can pick their favorites.

All those chosen as favorites in each category will receive a special prize.

This could be a great opportunity for some of you to "show your skills", or to showcase a friend's abilities (or your kid's).

Since it will be a "community vote", any registered member of the Sandbox is allowed to submit entries (including mods & admin).

If you are submitting something on behalf of someone else, please indicate this so credit goes where it's due.

This pretty much gives up any copyrights one may have to the images.

No...it doesn't give up YOUR copyright...it would just prevent you from submitting something that is copyrighted by someone else. Basically...it must be YOUR work, or whoever did the work must have given you the authority to submit it.

It also gives the Sandbox the right to use any images or pieces for display on the site, promotional material, or marketing purposes, but still allows you to use the items as you see fit, including letting others use them...as long as the Sandbox still gets to use it.

And no...the gallery would still be available to use...however:
1) nobody really uses the gallery anyway (or there would be more images)
2) the gallery has limited amount of space under its current design...so it may be expanded in the future.

Graphic Art isn't necessarily just images.
Though I guess it would be up to how creative you are.

Plus, it's being considered to do another Sandbox Promotion for the future (depending on the outcome of this one)...perhaps a poem, song, verbal tribute might be considered.

Aside from DeanK's "submission"...it would seem nobody is interested in supporting the Sandbox.
