Why is this (not referring to Winnipeg Sandbox) not moderated properly?

So I came across this little jem of a forum where I found several threads bashing Winnipeg. Here are some examples:

I mean seriously; where are the moderators to control these trolls? Free speech is one thing, but out-wright stupidity is another.

Yeah, that forum has been around for a while. I largely ignore it altogether... the posts seem to reflect a distinct lack of education and/or intelligence.

I disagree.

People have a right to their opinions, as long as they are not slandering an individual or business. Winnipeg is changing for the better, and even though we cannot control the cold winters, we can control the image of the city. The problem is having lived in Calgary for 18 months, the civic pride and community spirit of the city is really something to behold.

Unfortunately many Winnipeggers tend to be apathetic, and tend to not be proactive in resolving some of the larger problems facing the city. If more people in this city thought the way Sandbox members feel about it, we could definitely resolve some of the issues facing it.
People in neighbourhoods like the most in the North End, Jigtown, Central, etc need to be more proactive in facing the problems in their respective areas (drugs, prostitution, gangs, etc.).
Just look at West Broadway, Wolseley, and even Point Douglas and Spence Neghbourhood Associations. They have demonstrated that people do care about the area, and slowly these areas are becoming better places to live.

It doesn't matter how others perceive our city. it is what we think of ourselves, and how we are prepared to tackle the issues that face our city that is important.

Please remember those that post some of the more outrageous posts and the most ignorant posts there are largely boorish and ignorant people. Every community has them. Best to ignore them entirely rather than waste one iota of time on them.

Enough has already been said here about that forum. Let's not validate them any more than we already have...

I am on there continually, and specifically making derogatory , slanderous comments and specially specializing in ignorant misspelled stuff!
I love all the forums, each one has its own flavour!
This one is pretty close to perfect, with absolutely no redress from the mods, unless you get really juvenile, and even then the juvenile was certainly handled exceedingly well, once the mod realized there was no harm intended, and I offered a bribe of one hand rolled 7" , Honduran cigar, that I now have managed to cost at app, $20 Canadian!

I've actually never heard of that forum until today.

I think it was mentioned (along with workalike Winnipeg Heights, which I also ignore for the same reasons) a couple of times on NW.

I noticed grumpy old an on that I hate Winnipeg forum- 636 posts and there are current posts , on an on going basis. Very funny material there! love the "you all must be Indians"! Disappointing when th Ukrainians aren't identified as the bad guys in town! lol

you can find a forum to bash pretty much anything and anyone.

although in this case i'd have to agree with them. you couldnt pay me enough to live in winnipeg
