We've taken this to a new plateau. Our own sandbox. We've created and are now proudly announcing a new Winnipeg themed forum: the winnipeg sandbox.

You'll also discover we will be playing in a much less uptight arena. We will of course be moderating the new space but maybe not so much as it will be noticed. We only ask that the sandbox members moderate themselves...

Thanks so much JTF. Heh heh. Notice the old site did not have to go down at all while the new sandbox was prepared? I've zero experience in creating such places...

After no discussion, one moderator of the winnipeg sandbox would like to post the following;

While we understand the frustration with the way some things have been handled there, we also feel that not enough has been said.

The community there has tolerated more trolling from certain administrators, mods and members of the a-cartel than anyone should have to deal with. And we are prepared to say that it's enough.

Those administrators, mods and members of the a-cartel openly and freely choose to run that forum with an iron fist and after months, or in some cases years, they have succeeded in chasing away the heart of that place.

Yet after all of this time, they continue to complain and troll, some even going so far as turn off their site to mock its members.

So to these individuals, we say this;

If you are not willing to participate in the discussions, but only to complain and troll, then you'll be complaining and trolling amoungst yourselves.

And if you cannot help yourselves from complaining or trolling, we will assist you by inviting you to come play in our sandbox.

Where one can play without fear of a blocked IP address, and disappearing posts, and condescending and patronizing mods. And now, from permanent banning.

I suspect the post above had something to do with my banning...I just discovered I've been permanently banned from new winnipeg. Note that I have not posted there since yesterday sometime.

Here is what they said: Reason given for ban: Multiple violations of TOS including, but not limited to trolling, advertising of other forums, abusing mods, and general uncivility (sic).

I just reviewed their TOS. It does not say I can't advertise or promote another forum. Petty bastidges...

I now have time to devote 100% to this space.

No, I expected it. Especially since they opened the new site and this sean character seemingly grew some nads. Amazing how some people talk to others from the turtle-free protection of their keyboards.
