Oh man.. watched it last night.. the web version sucks for quality but its still funny as hell you only need watch the first 2 minutes if need be but the whole thing is awesome.

Many years ago, I had a car with "Thrush" mufflers on a 383 and I was ticketed for unnecessary noise. I entered a not guilty plea and went to night court. Funny thing, is that the cop who tagged me testified that he had served as a bike cop and how much louder my car was than the Harleys that he used to ride. Got a warning and told to change the mufflers. My mother was happy.
The meter thing makes sense as it makes is an objective rather than subjective test. Its now defined how loud, too loud really is.

heh.. I had a car that had a muffler but
1) a huge ass back fire blew a hole in it
2) the hangers at the back were very loose
which combined together made it sound exactly like a sykorsky helicopter.
cops never pulled me over even once
because one of the local cops drove the exact same model and colour car
