Islam threat.

The folks at www.revolutionmuslim.com (a cheerless, New York website devoted to nihilistic Muslim ramblings) were peeved because Parker and Stone depicted the Prophet Muhammad in a recent episode. Insulting the prophet is a grave insult in Islam. The episode in question depicted the holy man disguised in a bear suit.

“We have to warn Matt and Trey that what they are doing is stupid and they will probably wind up like Theo van Gogh for airing the show. This is not a threat, but a warning of the reality of what will likely happen to them,” reads a notice on www.revolutionmuslim.com.

For those who miss the point, the site displays a graphic photograph of the very dead Mr. van Gogh (a Dutch filmmaker murdered by radical Muslims for making a movie condemning Islamic violence against women).

The website goes on to provide the address for Comedy Central, the New York network that broadcasts South Park and suggests that angered Muslims pay a visit.

Interestingly enough, while Jesus Christ is a reoccuring character on South Park (a broadly satirical show that takes shots at all manner of celebrities and ideologies) Christian fundmenalists, as far as we know, have not suggested murdering Stone and Parker.
