Jeez, if I even had a fixed avatar I\'d be happy let alone a blinky one.

Hey, looking at the avators, I just noticed how much so many of us look a like. Its....eerie.

I like my avatars, they are my cyber extension of who I am. As far as image or flash signatures, I can live with out it. Here is a sample of one such signature I have used It takes my name and randomly sloganizes it for me.

You've solved the posting image problem. I posted one, and it appears in my draft but defaults to html code when I hit send. What's up with that?

GO to this website http://avatars.jurko.net/ then look through the avatars untill you see one you like. click on the one you like and it will take you to the page where the code is.

Highlite the Direct link code ie. ..http://img1.jurko.net/avatar_5087.gif

then go to your profile settings here in this forum then click on the Avatar tab. then the option called Link to off-site avatar that is where you paste the code. and hit the save button.

try that.

Wrong code perhaps.

I had to use HTML code. or maybe try the Insert Image button up top. You can also click on the BBcode guide located on the blue bar at the top of your text editor.

Not sure if this belongs here but..
People's avatars are not staying off to the side so the avatars are covering up some of the posts so that it isn't readable. Anyone else having this problem? If so, how do I fix it?

You are likely using IE's latest version. It has a button to the right of the address bar to correct that problem. Or try using Firefox.

Airt (I hope you don't mind me calling you by your first name). Who is the photo of on your avatar? It seems my brain is trying to remember it from somewhere.

Not at all. It's easier than addressing me by Señor Mattrèssor!

None other than Ilich Ramírez Sánchez, better known as Carlos the Jackal!

I will be a nice guy and will avoid using avatars that blink excessivly. I do however suggest people who are prone to photo-sensitive seizures seek medical advice before surfing the internet or playing video games. Know your limits and protect yourself because when it comes right down to it, you are your own last line of defence.

Well, what does the button look like and what will it say. I've been messing around with it all day and it still isn't working. Now I get box coming up saying there is a script error of some sort. sigh, computers really get on my nerves sometime. Why can't it just be simple?

I'll have a look at my version of IE. In the meantime can ya advise what version of IE you are using?

Are ya willing to change to Firefox? It's the best browser out there IMO.

On the right hand side of my address bar there is a little icon that looks like a torn sheet of paper. On mouse-over it says compatibility view. Click it and it'll change before your eyes.

If not there open Tools and click on Compatibility.
