Since this is going to be a "democratic" site, I thought I'd ask what everyone thinks of the flashy avatars. There has already been quite the discussion about them...with most people saying they hate them...but there are apparently those who don't read those threads, or choose to ignore the majority and think they are special (I'm thinking "short bus" special here). So...let's have the poll...and whichever way it goes...GOM can adjust the forum to allow them or not as part of the TOS.

Ya know, from a TOS POV yes we can do something. Technically? No sure. I'll have to check this out.

I need new glasses, reading glasses to be exact.....the flashing avatars don't help the matter at all.

I'm all for animated avatars, If you look at mine, it is not too bad. One's like I had over at NW.com well I can see how that would be distracting, I am use to avatars that are far beyond what have been seen here or at NW. I would vote to keep animated avatars, provided they are low key and non-pornographic/non-hate.

In all honesty, I don't care either way about flashing avatars. I'm more interested in what's filling the whitespace to the immediate right of the avatar.

Looks like the vote was 4-2 in favor of NO FLASHY AVATARS.

The "I don't cares" are abstainers, and the one who smells funny doesn't get a vote. Very Happy.
