Because since you shell out 3x as much of one, you can't afford to go back! LOL

LOL..true enough! I have friends who have macs and they say they are the best. One of my best friends just bought his first mac and he says he will never use anything else.

They are well-built and reliable machines, I just don't like the interface and feel of the keys with them.

I just bought a Mac Mini for a co-worker but I don't use it and won't have a chance to play around with it. He likes it, though.

Macs are also the tool of choice in the arts community.

Choose your computer based on needs. A Mac may be totally of no value to you.

Yep. All depends on what you want to do with it.

Palin would definitely buy a Mac as she would gain her opinion of the product from Apple commercials, teenage girls using them as a fashion accessory and hard core Mac fanboys.

Also, Mac's are "user friendly" and Palin definitely needs all the user friendly she can get.

It's all a matter of personal preference. I use pretty much everything under the sun, and find each architecture and OS have their pluses and minuses...

I didn't know you were a graphic designer

An alternative to going out and buying a mac right away would be to download Paint.NET (free) on your PC. Try that out and see if it meets your needs. You will need to install the .NET framework (also free).

I am not a graphic designer, it's an interest.

I thought she was the spokesmodel for CanadInns, kinda like what Lisa Best was when she was the Park Pontiac girl a lifetime ago.

Alternately, you can try using Gimp for graphics work. I've used it for a couple of years and love it. It's open source and it's free.
