Another grow-op in the Maples/Garden City?

Last week it was  a crack bust in River Heights.

Glad I don't live in the burbs.

The crime rate there is way out of whack!

Sheesh. We got plants growing all over the place here... Like weeds. And they only go after the plants in private gardens and homes. You should see the size of those plants! And they grow so quickly. A friend of mine had a plant growing in the middle of his sidewalk, it grew so fast, he let it grow, not even knowing what plant it was. After I told him, he cut it down, hid it in a bag, and trashed it. It's no wonder how we got the weirdest peeps doing the weed cutting along the roads...
(I'm talking about Trieste, Italy, folks. The plants in Winnipeg are already frozen, I suppose...).

Who sees any harm in growing marihuana? It is a good stable crop that can be marketed year round?
Has any one ever applied for welfare while growing and selling the junk?
Old foggies don't even know that the only reason it is illegal is one of a racist background going back to the early 1900's when the white man, U.S. were upset about the Mexican immigrants (nothing has changed) enjoying the plant!

I haven't but I know some who did back in the late 80's.

I'm sure there are many smaller grow ops being run by welfare recipients.

which all in all is simply moronic.

The cops use heat analysis and utility records to indentify where the bigger operations are and shut them down quite regularily.

You would think the people doing these huge grow ops would catch on.

There should be extra penalities if your grow-op is within 800 metres of a school zone.
