So, a funeral is for the living to grieve, UNLESS the deceased has previously decreed that there be no such event, in which case the living can seek solace elsewhere...

From my understanding, a funeral is to help those left behind grieve. Of course funeral directors want us all to believe that so we spend big $$$$$$. It is much easier to take advantage of someone grieving.

So that's why they advocate pre-planning, so they can take advantage of you before you grieve.... scratch

Most people I know do not pre-plan funerals, at least none I know of. My Mom didn't express her wishes to us till a week before she died. Some advocate pre-planning but no one in my family has ever pre-planned. I remember watching my parents plan my Grandma's funeral, my Mom was still in shock as my Grandma died suddenly...thank God my Dad was there to make most of the decisions.

I could find solace with my family around a bucket of KFC.

Pizza and hot wings sound so much more appetizing....dirty bird aka KFC is gross.

I also love KFC! It's so much better than Chicken Delight.

Toss your KFC in hot sauce. Same thing and actually much less fat and more protein than deep fried wings.

I'm with GC on this one, KFC is crap. I'd have to be dead to eat it.....not sure if that makes sense, but you get the point.

Eat enough of it and you will be dead I'm afraid.

I prefer baked wings not deep fried.

I can honestly say, growing up my parents never ordered dirty bird. If we ordered in we ordered Chinese or pizza from pizza place.

i grew up fairly far from any fast food joints. KFC, MCDs, even A&W were a once every couple of months or whilst on Vacation type thing speciality. Even when on the road most times we would stop for food it would be at a mom and pop type restraunt that was attached to the gas station.

oo the best part of stopping as kids we would normally get milk because it came in those awesome glasses with a straw that you could blow these insanely huge amounts of bubbles in the milk with.

Agreed.

The best breakfasts are truck stop breakfasts.

I think my funeral reception should be held at a Husky House and everyone will get the "Lumberjack Special". Three eggs, four pancakes, bacon, sausage, texas toast, hashbrowns and scalding hot coffee.

If you keep eating there then we may be attending your funeral sooner then you planned. Wink

Thats what we would do with my kids, except they would complain if I got gas.

Had Chicken from Safeway last night. Worse than KFC, IMHO.

So the ranking is now:
Chicken Chef > Chicken Delight > KFC > Safeway Chicken
