I think this is just another reason to want the cival service cut , why is it they think they desearve more then anyone else that I know of .
They make good money and should not be costing me another 1 million bucks a year for this program. Doer if you have the balls throw this crap out and let them pay their own way. Other wise take your next rate jump and stick it. My rant for today

Whenever you radically change the terms of a persons employment it is always good to try to mitigate the issues. It is hard to find good employees and very expensive.It is probably a smart move for Hydro to take this initiative.

Does anyone find the hypocrisy in this? Hydro has just completed an incredibly expensive and energy efficient building, all part of their effort to go green. They constantly tell me of ways to reduce energy (I'm not even breaking a sweat typing this) and for me to "go green". Then they turn around and offer their employees subsidized parking, and as I understand it, its $55 a month for parking or half of a $72 monthly bus pass, so theiy're offering a larger incentive for the employees to drive downtown.

Hypocrisy, That's is many people's middle name. Gary "Hypocrisy" Doer, Al "hypocrisy" Gore, David "hypocrisy" Suzuki.

This Does not surprise me. Just wait till MPI builds its new green office tower. or MLCC's new office tower.

Very good point - the subsidy should favour the bus pass option. I don't mind that there is a subsidy, it would be the same as everyone getting a raise.

The subsidy is OK, its just one thing that an employer offers as a benefit, but it should go to the bus pass. Transit has an "Enviro Pass" deal for employers, stick to that.
