Dishonest auto dealers

So, the NDP are planning to write a law so they can out dishonest auto dealers.

Well I imagine there are lots of stories here, and will love to see how they the goverment will catch those dealers .

They've been saying they would fix the non-disclosure of names policy a year ago.

It's typical NDP dumbfcuk stuff to list the problem dealers without their names.

Like....what the hell are they thinking? It's like saying several restaurants are serving bad food but we can't name them.

Ok, the guy in the news clip is Dean Smallwood and if you go to the Court Registry http://www.jus.gov.mb.ca/ and search his name, you get the name of the dealership that he sued, Holiday Kia. This is all public record. Go ahead, give it a try, search your friends and see if they have been sued.

Some people just don't learn.

That family has been screwing people in the city for decades. Remember Holiday Chev...Sherill(sp?) and Jim Haddad???

I would think that auto dealerships go out of their way to look after their customers and only the ones that cannot be served satisfactory, are the ones that they are happy to get rid of!
That said, I have had 2 bad experiences with auto dealerships.
The 1st case was Eastern Chrysler Dodge on 1900 Main Street, where I ended up on a Saturday Picketing them, to warn other buyers. We had leased our 2nd Peugot from them , as we really liked it. We agreed to pay additional money on our lease so the buy out would be $200 at the end.
My wife was rear ended in the car, 2 months after our lease had ren out (they and us did not realize that).
Eastern wanted the car back as they claimed it was theirs to repair and take over, and we would have to forfeit the extra payments, which they never acknowledged.
I had to hide the car elsewhere because they sent a truck to pick it up. I had to hire a lawyer and of course just before our court time, an hour before the great lawyers agreed that I should pay ,I do not remember, and stop hiding the car.
That was probably 30 years ago and we have had probably 6 or more vehicles since, and I would never go to them. Their used car manager also treated us as a stupid client, when I went in to get an evaluation of our Peugot to trade it in on a new one. he told us he had to look up what we paid for it! What a load of manure. A car is evaluated on the basis of what it is worth on that date!
I have had great sevice from Pembina Chrysler, Rudy's Service on Erin, extra great service from Southglen, both their repair and their body shop.

General Motors cancelled their agreement with Haddad...something they did't often, if ever, do.

My 2nd bad experience was with Haddad.

Sherrold Haddad and Gary McDonald.....two of the biggest crooks in town when it comes to autos.
