Hi all,
My wife and I love the sushi. Here is a brief list of my fav. places in Winnipeg. If you like sushi and have not been, then what are you waiting for??? GO!!!
BEST:
1. Wasabi on Osbourne. The reason we enjoy this one so much is because we can also get an order of Teriyaki Chicken and share it. It is very delicious. We typically like sushi with tempura in it, Dynamite Rolls, Prairie Fire rolls, etc. Yummy.
2. Umi Sushi on Kenaston. It is tough to determine if this should be first or Wasabi. Both excellent sushi but this one offers a slighly better value. This should be tried. They also opened one in Winnipeg Square and I frequent it often.
3. Yujiro. Sadly, I have not been yet. But my wife somehow goes there without me!!!! She says the sushi is delicious and she doesn't need any stinking soya sauce to dip it in either!
WORST:
Wasabi on Taylor. They opened a new Wasabi on Taylor in the Di Nardi Plaza (Di Nardi has awesome desserts by the way). We tried it once... never again. The sushi is ... different.... the rice was too moist.... not good sushi for the money. I'm very disappointed.
Sushi Train. Don't care for it. No sir.
Supervalu Sushi. I had that once. I almost died.
Anyone else have any good/bad sushi experiences? Any place I should try?
I ate at Bimi a number of times. We used to like it. The sushi was ... ok.
