Winter storm warning for
City of Winnipeg issued
15 cm of snow over the next 24 hours with local blowing snow on Sunday.

A trough of low pressure will bring snow to Southern Manitoba. Snow is already falling over portions of Central and Western Manitoba, and will begin in Winnipeg and the Red River Valley late this afternoon.
In general Southern Manitoba should receive about 15 cm of snow over the next 24 hours, with higher amounts in upslope flow along the eastern slopes of Duck Mountain, Riding Mountain and the Manitoba escarpment.
On Sunday, strong northerly winds gusting to 60 km/h are expected to develop behind the trough. This will produce blowing snow giving poor visibilities, especially in open areas of the Red River Valley from the Manitoba escarpment east.
