I never had student loans, I'm just uneducated and naturally broke.

I'm glad I got kicked out of RRCC before I had the opportunity to accrue huge debt...

Stupid cheap, NDP, government should be covering the costs, as a simple extention of grade 12. Anyone disagree?
DeanK- congratulations. How much debt were you saddled with, and how mnt years at what interest rate?
When I went to school there was zero interest. I never had a loan but my wife did, as she was a very poor farm girl type . No money, no food, just very , very smart!

Congrats. Wish I could say the same. It's gonna be another few years before I can get those loan monkeys off my back.

I guess that in most cases it is a smart investment in your own future earnings, as the government tells you to get an education as you will earn double the money than a high school graduate and therefore pay triple in income taxes!
That is why education should be paid for by the government! They reap the tax benefit. Other countries cover it!
If the government paid for it they could have everyone sign a promissorry note that if you stayed in Canada the debt would be forgiven over time, but if you left for employment out of the country then you had to pay it back. keep Doctors, nurses in Canada that way, or else the education actual costs are returned!
