Not really sure this is such a good idea allowing 10% of the corrections staff to go to Haiti. Aren't we short experienced staff as it is? Good on them for wanting to do this, but unless they and other staff are basically going to burn vacation time to allow these guys to go.. cant see this as being good for our prisons. Now.. if we just send 90% of our criminal population there to volunteer provided they never come back to Canada.. that would be a good idea.
