I would say the Hangover was one of the best comedies. What are your thoughts?

I heard Hangover was hilarious. From several people.

I will BUY Inglorious Basterds. I've not yet seen it but believe it will be great.

Inlgorious Basterds was pretty entertaining. I enjoyed the alternate history twist, with the usual Tarantino dark humour thrown in.

Hangover wasn't anything outstanding, IMHO. Not bad but not a film that will be remembered as a must-see in years to come.

Inglorious Basterds was a must-see, with a definite Oscar-worthy performance.

(500) Days of Summer - romantic comedy. I liked it.

Zombieland - zombie comedy - great fun!

The Hurt Locker - a small film, but I quite enjoyed it.

Up - two thumbs up.

9 - a Tim Burton animated film. Dark, post-apocalytic world in which the machines took over. I liked it.

Anvil! The Story of Anvil - great - sad but real. It's a universal story, don't have to be metal head to enjoy it.

My wife and I see all the movies. The best is Ing. Bast. followed by close second District 9. Hangover might be funny for the teens but we thought it was dumb.
The dude that plays the SS leader in Ing Bast made the movie - he was brilliantly intimidating and scary even. Kinda like Hannibal Lecter but even moreso. The buzz is about the new Clooney movie which we haven't seen and I'm surprised to hear this becasue when we saw the trailer we thought it was a must-miss.

Have you guys heard about the action movie coming out in 2010 called The Expendables? It sounds pretty cool to me.

Plot: A team of mercenaries head to South America on a mission to overthrow a dictator.
Cast: Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren , Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, Arnold Schwarzenegger

Totally forgot about District 9....one of the best sci-fi movies in years. Proof that you don't need big name stars to make a great movie.

We can sure do without Mickey Rourke. That guy gives me the creeps. Although... I did like The Wrestler. Expendable.

Sly Stone? Expendable.

Arnold. Still the governor no? He's not expendable. Yet.

I like Bruce Willis.

All the others? Ambivalent.

If it turns out to be as good as the last Stallaone flick, it'll likely be a turkey. If it's a comedy like Tropic Thunder, then it could be a winner.

Almost forgot Tropic Thuder. Surprisingly funny. Robert Downey as the black guy was what made it so.
