What is everyone planning for New Years Eve?

This year we are planning on ordering some Indian food from Clay Oven and the hubby is buying fireworks to set off for the kiddies. We may have a few people over for drinks....My friends band is playing but babysitters cost way too much on NYE. So a nice quiet NYE for us.

We're having a big dinner party, like we do every year.

I order take out from Clay Oven once in a while. One of my relatives said that the chicken used isn't cut up chicken breast but rather formed chicken chunks, supplied by Sysco. I'll still order from there, though, since they are close by.

I somehow have the urge to head to the Convention Centre at 2 AM and mingle with the crowd.

Hopefully it'll be warm out. I haven't checked the forecast yet.

I know it'll be cold, it's always cold on NYE. I will be cozy and warm in my house with family and close friends.

Well I finally have a plan for New Years Day....going for dim sum with a bunch of friends. I haven't been in quite some time, and Kum Koon was a place I would go almost every weekend. I am looking forward to it! I can't think of a better way to start 2010.

Eat a bananna, drink a glass of water and take two multivitamins before you go out partying. Drink at least one glass of water per hour if possible ( or pop ) . Drink a half sports drink and another two multivitamins before you go to sleep. Keep a room temp sports drink and two asprin near the bed. If you wake up hurting, take them (note must be asprin.. not tylenol or advil)

In a pinch you can get by with just water and the multivitamins before going to sleep. But depending on what you drank ( wine or expensive whiskey) you may need more then the two multivitamins. And yes some greasy food when you wake up will also do wonders, even if you are vegatarian just the smell of bacon cooking should overcome any naseua you have and get you to eat something...

I rarely suffer from the dreaded hangover anymore. Greasy food was always a must, nothing like a big greasy breakfast to make one feel better.

I have never heard of eating a banana though...

in a pinch eating a bannana will do well on its own... but its really slow acting so it does not work well just in the morning.

Checks & balances. The hangover is a necessary part of the experience.

No it isn't. I don't drink to get hammered anymore, I like to catch a buzz and feel happy.

I think the banana thing was meant only as a distraction to get your mind off the hangover...it's your girlfriend that's supposed to eat it...in a certain manner.Wink

If all you're after is a buzz, you shouldn't be too hung over, unless you need to down a couple of fifths to get that buzz Wink

A coupel of beers gives me a buzz, unless of course I am drinking Bud light lime. In the summer I tried Bud light lime and man I could drink a 12 and not feel drunk.

Yeah, I think that particular beer is meant for children, the infirm, and the elderly.

HA!... Dont EVER EVER EVER have sex of any kind when you have a wicked hangover...definately not a wise idea, a so-so hangover.. maybe.. but a level 3 or above... most certainly not.

The Bannananana btw helps because of the potassium lowering blood pressure... a significantly higher blood pressure being one of the main reasons for the thump thump thump in your head.

It is not meant for those who enjoy good beer. Lime flavoured water is all it is.

Yeah, it's one of those beers I'd drink if it were free, but certainly wouldn't go out of my way to pick some up.
