so like its bad enough that Credit card companies steal from clients by charging crazy interest rates. But have you heard the latest?

If you end up with a credit. If you dont spend your credit after two months they will just take it. AND they wont even tell you unless you ask.

don't know where you heard that one...it's 100% illegal.

In fact...I had a credit on my Home Depot card...of $.02...they mailed me a cheque for that amount.

This actually happened to you Deank? Can you share which credit card company this happened with? This is the first I've heard of this happening, but it doesn't really shock me.

Is Consumer and Corporate Affairs looking into the matter?

They will be come Monday. I gave the credit card company 7 calendar days to respond to my email. At present no such communication has been attempted by them.

HBC? Really?
They don't even do their own credit...it's run by another company for them.

I used to have one of their cards...got it paid off and shut down though as the interest is ridiculous.

But...I overpaid the account by $.32, and they sent me a cheque for the balance. That was 4 years ago...you'd think they'd do better now instead of worse.

So...

After they stole my wife's money and she yelled and screamed at them and told them to cancel her card. They all of a sudden 3.5 months later send her a new card and show a credit of X cents. She calls them and tells them to fruck off and they are lucky they were not charged with theft. Two weeks later they send a cheque for X cents.

heh. gee I wonder if their lawyer had a little talk with them about theft based on the complaints I put in.

Did not even notice this back in Dec. I'll reply to it now.

NOT HBC(Hudson Bay Company), but HSBC

HSBC Bank Canada, a subsidiary of HSBC Holdings plc, has more than 260 offices, including over 140 bank branches. With around 8,000 offices in 88 countries and territories and assets of US$2,364 billion at 31 December 2009, the HSBC Group is one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organizations.

LOL. I'm talking about the money HSBC sent me. I know your issue was with HBC.
