Toaster repair seems technical to me?

I like my toaster. But it toasts no more.
I'd like to get it fixed, but a quick search of yellowpages.ca gives me piss poor results .

Anyone here that can recommend a place that can fix a toaster? Preferably North End, West K. area. Evil or Very Mad

Ummmm.... it's black.

But seriously, I dunno.
Will check when I get home.

Not a common toaster.
It is the one that can cook eggs and bacon while making your toast.

Bingo we have a winner.
That be it.

The only it does not do, is toast.
Elements never warm up.

The rest works good.

Reading some of the reviews on that site, its appears that the toast part is not on a delay, expecting that an egg will need more time to get cooked. IS it just waiting a long time before heating up?

Nope, not waiting.
I almost cooked the eggs twice thinking I forgot to push the lever.

tried with and without anything else on the go.

Made in china.. but sold in Canada...
Most likely a little part that is in most house hold appliances in Canada that produce heat. Its a heat sensing switch that can burn out for no reason at all. You can either spend 3 bucks at the source and buy a new one. Or simply solder the wires together to bypass it. All american models of the exact same variety do NOT have this switch.
A screw driver and a mulitester is all you need to track the bugger down.

There's a shop on St. James Street, across from the stadium.

They fix almost ANY appliance or electronic device.

You might try there. I forget the name just now...but they are near the Subway by Futureshop.

That is what I was thinking.
It was a gift from the wife about 1.5 years ago.
May be sold in Canada now, but back then, you had to surf hard to find anyone shipping it to Canada.

I think I will gently crack it open and see if there is anything obviously wrong with it.
If nothing obvious, will find somewhere to take it in and get an estimate on how much $$ to fix.
If too much to fix, I will bring out the old toaster and sit them side by side.

4/5 days a week I drink protein shakes for breakfast.
Fridays I like to switch it up with solid food.
