Heh, I can't say for certain as I've never met the man in person...

I won't name the individual himself, but the friend to whom I was referring is "jimj_wpg" on the "old" forum.

I'm not a hockey player (can't skate...yet)...but played soccer for 18 years and volleyball for 15.

Even if my daughter showed an interest in those though (she's 3 now), I don't think I'd register her for a league sport until at least age 5. Anything younger will give her exercise sure...but body joints aren't fully developed yet...and there's too much risk of damage.

IMHO...those who register their kids for the more aggressive sports that young...are desperate to fulfill their own lack of abilities and dreams. If you want your kid to get exercise, or to develop some skills...keep it simple. Sign them up for skating instead of hockey, or gymnastics instead of soccer. Something that will help train their bodies for the aggressive movements to come.

My daughter is in Swimming and Dance.
We may register her for MTYP as well this year...and we've been discussing gymnastics.

oh yeah hockey there is no doubt that it can get crazy.
CAN being the operative word. I have yet to actually meet a "casual/rec" gymnastics kid. They are all going to "make it big" and are "trying out for the olympics"... sprained ankle... practice through pain...Kids should be allowed to be kids and have fun with it. Heck I was watching the one group of gymnastic kids practice and the teacher was asking the 6 year olds.. okay who is coming to the new york meet. NEW YORK MEET??? sheesh.

The original bugs bunny cartoons have been chopped to death! Shortened so that more adverts can be run and as well chopped for some rather un-PC content.....this started happening about 20 years ago....trust me on that score as I am a huge BB fan!
