Caught a brief blip on the news lastnight.
Partner's delis across the cit are closing due to financial difficulties. Very sadly the owner has had to remortgage her house a couple of times to keep the operations going. and as of last night she said she was putting her house on the market today. This si very sad. She was a great person. supported her staff very well, was active in the community and was always a great person to talk to. apparently the partners in Portage place is still open today.

This really sucks.

great salads. great chicken fingers.

without knowing the details I would have to say she is closing down because she tried expanding.

And yet people flock to places like KFC, McDicks, BugerKing, Wendy's, Taco Hell.

partners salads were awesome.

No kidding. Have you ever seen that video of the KFC in New York with rats ?
I heard about the hard times a couple weeks ago while having a drink and a bar and chatting with a cook who worked there. The food service industry is very hard. I have done it , and it's easy to get on a slippery slop to losing loads of money. It's the last thing anyone should consider doing as a business. I could have lost my shirt too , on one location, and it was actually cheaper for me to walk away than continue. If I continued I would have lost it all.
