I love Oscars. When I worked downtown we use to go there once a week for lunch.

I want to eat there again, and tomorrow and every day... their reuben was FABulous! What else should I try? I wish the waitresses were Hooters girls, but meh, whatever.

I haven't heard that name mentioned in a few hours! Salter is a heretic, a loon... I hear he went insane, tried to molest a Ronald McDonald statue and tried to kill himself by jumping off the phallic tower. Not a stable guy.

Did u miss me? wink wink wink .... Wink

Oscar's was famous for their corn beef sandwich!
Everything else is a bonus!
Did you ever try them when they were in the NORTHEND, at mountain and Main Street??

One of the partners 100 years ago opened downtown.

Larry Brown and Jimmy Shuckett , and Jimmy's younger brother were partners on Main Street. Jimmy's Uncle I think ran it 1st and then Jim and Larry, and then Larry opened up downtown a long time ago and is still there.
I think Shuckett retired a few years ago instead of renovating. I do not know if he is still in Winnipeg. There is no J Shuckett in the phone book so you cannot call him to confirm, but
