I love shooting, I love playing violent games, I have watched or have copies of all those listed movies..and more on my computer and on disk. So does that mean I am going to go shoot people? I guess it must because its part of the news release... who wants to be shot first?

I think it's news because he was obviously a law-breaker by illegally downloading movies. Smile

The first story that i read stated that the father owned 15 or 16 guns, and that the beretta pistol was the only one not locked up, because he kept it loaded in his bedroom or something to that effect.

if true, i hope that the father is charged with improper storage of a firearm, as this whole thing could have been avoided had he followed a basic and simple rule of storing guns safely. If people dont have easy and immediate access to a firearm, they are much much less likely to carry out a murderous impulse such as this, and it may have delayed him long enough for someone to recognize the signs and get him some help.

Well I do agree with the music part but there have been studies and you do not have to look far too see the collation , between games and behavior . Since the advent of the street race games police will tell you and from what I have observed speeding and dangerous driving has also.

Most of the kids have lost all fear of the damage they can and do cause , it is challenge to see who can push it the farthest . Not to say we drove like angels but from light to light and it was over, now it is as far as you can push it. So I have and do believe there is a result brought on by them , a change of values .

what kind of credible studies have there been that link video games to criminal behaviour?

as an avid gamer myself i've seen accusations like this all too often and they have always been unfounded
