umm... dude thats actually pretty much the definition of being racist.

Interracial couple denied marriage license in La.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091016/ap_on_re_us/us_interracial_rebuff

"I'm not a racist. I just don't believe in mixing the races that way," Bardwell told the Associated Press on Thursday. "I have piles and piles of black friends. They come to my home, I marry them, they use my bathroom. I treat them just like everyone else.""
WTF is up with the "they use my bathroom" quote? Is that how you tell you are not racist you let the other race use your bathroom?

No one uses my bathroom! Anyone over for a visit goes way out in the backyard, or passes out on the lawn! lol

Humphrey, an account manager for a marketing firm, said she and McKay, a welder, just returned to Louisiana. She is white and he is black. She plans to enroll in the University of New Orleans to pursue a masters degree in minority politics.

I'm curious about this statement.
A Master's Degree in minority politics.

Now, I know here in Canada, there's the whole "minority government" thing. But in the US...that's not what that means (that I know of). It means minorities in politics.
If it's a study of minority governments (like Canada's)...that's fine.
But if it's about minorities working in politics...then the guy's whole education/career is based on racism.

I'd be curious to know for sure what the curriculum entails for this guy.

Huh? Ages......The student is a woman.....and of course there are going to be other dynamics to research in that sort of area of study.....doesn't make it racist in scope....I devoted four years of my university life to a specific area of study that as much as the events, the Shoah and WW2 in general had millions of victims, my focus was on the Jewish community.....did that make me racist? No.

As to the boner in buttplug, Lousiana? Hell yeah, he be a racist.

lol AGE. You pick and choose which parts you want to see.

Even though legal precedent is present people still act like this Justice of the Peace. There has to be some cure for past instances of this behaviour.

And there has to be studies on how to combat this behaviour.

You still assume everyone is treated equally when this is obviously not the case.

But of course you'll just pick and choose what parts of my arguments you want to see.

I don't pick and choose anything.

I simplify it down to its basic level.

The fact is, that if an entire curriculum has been created to revolve around minorities in government, then it is a racist course. It is identifying individuals because of their race, and teaching how those races are "inferior" in the government's view.

Being racist to some extent is natural. If you look at kids growing up, when they FIRST start interacting with kids of other races, they notice the differences. They see black, brown, white etc. and put that in their head. As they interact more often though, and realize similarities and shared interests...they typically will ignore the racial aspects as simple differences, the same as hair colour, eye colour, etc.

But, by providing courses, special cases, funding, etc. to people because of their race just perpetuates and accentuates the differences. It tells those who are "non-minority" that they have to work harder because of their race. Not because of something they have done, but because of insecurity & bigotry of their ancestors.

Until the "race" issue is ignored, racism will continue. I don't mean to ignore people because of their race, but to ignore their race because of the individual.
