Hmmm. four Mounties, surrounded by 75 to 100, mostly drunk, but obviously hostile people, fear of grevious bodily harm. Sounds like use of deadly force could be justified. Thank god they had tazers.

The RCMP report is a load of bullcrap!
Why would they print this, without getting a corroborating story from one of the 100 witnesses?

This report is what is all wrong with the police. I simply do not believe that there would be 100 drunk people at one party and I wasn't invited!

The RCMP report is nonsense!
Do you remember the RCMP report on the tasering death in Vancouver's airport? It had zero reliability to what was the truth!

Apparently all the party attenders were detained and interviewed for their side of the story, but none of them could remember anything.

Speaking of party. Are you going to the convention next week? The Tory Convention that is.

Be seeing you.

RCMP to investigate fatal incident in The Pas

Winnipeg Sun A 43-year-old man has died a day after he was pepper-sprayed by RCMP in The Pas.

An autopsy will be conducted today to determine the cause of death.

Police were called to a domestic dispute at a home in The Pas shortly after 8:20 a.m. Saturday after a man allegedly assaulted his former common-law wife.

"He was causing a disturbance and he was intoxicated," said Sgt. Line Karpish, a spokeswoman for Manitoba RCMP.

The man, who had once lived at the home, became combative while officers were arresting him, said Karpish.
For those that believe the Tazer are too lethal here then is the result of another tool in the police arsenal to subdue peeps. Is this now too dangerous? For those that say there must yet be another non-lethal tool do please find it.

Now that someone else has died in police custody, and it is likely to be controversial, how quickly will the Chiefs speak up?

For the record.
I am not against police using thier fists, nightsticks, pepper spray, taZers, guns, cars, bats, lions, tigers, high explosive devices, or any other weapon when subduing criminals, or protecting themselves from the same.
I am against inappropriate use of all of the above.

Isn't "inappropriate" in the eye of the beholder?

The fact he was or was not a native was moot. The chiefs speak up whenever a native dies at the hands of police. Should they only react when it is a native that died?

There are reports the Police repeatedly kicked the dude in the head. Now it is reported he died of a brain hemorrhage.

Hmmmm. 1 + 1 = ?

Dr.G would have determined the cause of this hemorrhage by now. How come our coroners can't pinpoint the cause of this hemorrhage?

Hemorrhage = bleeding. Bleeding = Marks on body? Marks on body = ???
