And are you going to pay me for mine when you are not to blame , cause you won't have insurance as you won't meet the safety standards of the province . So you won't pass a safety to put your car on the road and you will increase my risk . Interesting concept .
Well I agree there should be a classification for beaters that allows you to be covered for liability but not for the damage to your car . You have to still prove you are safe to be on the road . Everyone said immobilizers wouldn't work well car theft is down so where are they,

the kids are no longer stealing the cars... and the immobolizer has little to do with that.

Sad to say some what you are right but not completly , these are the real diehards you speak of and 2 of them are facing adult court now as they have been raised to it . Most of the petty theft has stopped and been reduced . One cop told me by half or better , the number of calls coming in .

yeah and then just this week.. one gets out of jail.. so he goes and gets a buddy who is at home with a bracelet.. they cut the bracelet off and within 48 hours steal over 20 cars...
Back in jail... car thefts go back down.
It is certain individuals doing it and no immobilizers are going to stop them. Ask your cop buddy how many of those stolen 20 cars had immobilizers.
