Most people don't believe the stories I tell them about things I see in this city. I now drive around with my camera to snap pictures. Working on a pretty good collection.

I want to have a nice positive thread, Your post is not wanted in this thread. be a nice guy and remove it. Thanks.

I think you misunderstood the attitude of my post, I'm not talking about bad things necessarily. Just crazy things that one would only ever see in the Winnipeg...Maybe everyone here is just used to it, but having just moved here I find it very entertaining!

Some examples?

-A big native guy screaming down Arlington on a tiny pocket bike (sorry, didn't snap a pic of this one)
-Keeping the construction equipment safe: http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs140.snc1/6000_521609077382_331100922_1160958_3982379_n.jpg
-Random Graffiti, the $ make this one extra special http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs168.snc1/6320_522131764912_331100922_1189024_7943916_n.jpg
-Man riding his bike with a parrot on his shoulder http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs168.snc1/6320_522131769902_331100922_1189025_7939769_n.jpg

Going to be unloading a whole bunch of new pictures off the phone in the next week or so.

I've seen the constructyion equipment being hoisted in many many different cities and towns from Quebec City to Prince Rupert, and from The Pas, MB to Justice, West Virginia.

That is definitely not a only in Winnipeg occurrence, it is quite common on construction sites.

Did like the grafiti

yeah...we hoist our equipment up like that too if it's something that can be carried or towed offsite by a couple of people...but might be too big or inconvenient to lock in a container.

Waht I photographed today....at the fancy library downtown.....

the assembling of a healing mandala.....and then I walked and walked and talked and shot....until I came back to a POV of a certain back alley and the architectural array that was there amidst the clouds and mid afternoon light....a juxtaposition that is sublime.
