A Banjo Bowl could mean Calgay and Edmonton, as well. We're just a hick-like as y'all Wink

GO BLUE!

Nah, that would be battle of Alberta... these rivalries both have their name well-established.

BTW, I noticed you spelled Calgary "Calgay".... Freudian slip? ;-)

Actually, to me, it would be redundant.

Like the Eagles & Steelers in the Superbowl together.

I say pit the CFL champ against the NFL champ/ To even it up, it would be played by CFL rules, in February, in Winnipeg...

They used to do something like that. They played one half on American rules, and one half on Canadian

LOL the awesome part would be the reciever for a kick off calling a "fair catch" and getting completely obliterated.

What would happen if the American team played 11 guys, the Canadians played 12, but the Americans get an extra down?

Gotta play by a standard set of rules. Be uber-confusing otherwise...

Rat you say this has been done before? When? 50's? Earlier? There was a time, around Bud Grant's time, when some CFL player's were more highly paid than NFLers. Probably in Bud Grant's time.

I was just musing whether the extra man advantage would outweigh the extra down. I'll look for the international football match-ups and report back.

Ironic that the only team to ever defeat an NFL team is the Hamilton Tiger-Cats!

So the only CFL team to beat the NFL is Hamilton...and all the games were played in Canada.

Very interesting.

I notice too that after Hamilton beat Buffalo, they stopped playing each other Very Happy

Also, it appears there was a Canadian-American exhibition game played in London England in 1944.

I think an exhibition game between the CFL champ and the NFL champ would be a blowout of epic proportions. That said the NFL would NEVER agree to a game as they have so very much to lose.

I guess Canada still retains the title until such time as the cross-border exhibition games resume!
