I am looking for a tattoo parlour that is reasonably priced but does a good job. I want to get my daughter's name tattooed on my upper back. Any suggestions?

Phone around , is the only thing that I can think of.I have no idea what you can expect to pay, and where cost/ quality come into the equation.
There must be prices based on time, which must mean fancy is more time and more money.
i bet the tatoo parlour would be able to give you a very good explanation.

The Crypt in the Village, if they still exist, was good and had a good rep.....

Take a walk down Osborne Street and you can take your pick.

I have a couple of tattoo's. One of the things you need to do is research the studio's and take a look at the artist's work/portfolio before you make a decision. I googled tattoo studios, winnipeg and there were quite a few that came up. Look through the galleries of some of the studios and go from there. I had one done at a place I won't mention as I wouldn't recommend it anymore. Another one I had done at Electric Babylon but the artist who did it is no longer there. both of my tattoo's are simple designs that are easy to add on to if I want to. Another studio is Metamorphosis in the exchange district and they are one of the best in the city but it takes a long time to get in to have the work done. My son had his done by Woody who has his studio on north Main and Leila. Really good job. I've also heard good things about Tattoo for the Individual on Portage Ave.

My brother works at Electric Babylon and I believe he charges $100 an hour. He's a great artist and has an extensive portfolio for customers to view.
