I wonder why there needs to be rebates to begin with. Let the parties raise their own revenues and pay their own costs. No rebates at all, ever.

And under that policy, when discrepancies such as this arise instead of withheld rebates they are fined. Fines are paid before they can run in the next election. That should help drive the right ethical behaviours.

So....when Harper is cooperative and engaging, he's kissing ass eh? Indeed no good dead shall go unpunished.

Would be true if the Liberals weren't leading in the polls. I think he's waiting for a bigger edge before calling an election.

You call 33.7 to 32.4 leading in the polls? I'd say tied at best.

Woo hoo, big lead, time to pull the trigger, Iggy!

Iggy is smart and knows now is not the time. He and Harper are getting it done the way it should be with a minority government: a little give and take, listening to each other, and forming working groups to explore the options.

33.7=33.7 and 32.4=32.4. 33.7>32.4. So yes, I would say they are leading in the polls at the time.
Lost a quote symbol or something.

Looks pretty much tied factoring in the margins of error I reckon.

But, c'mon...did anyone think that Iggy wouldn't fold?

What has Iggy done that anyone could even form an opinion over?

That is true he has not been saying to much .

To me, it's troubling to see him use the first person so much...it's I, I, I all the time. I want this before I'll do that...I must have...I say that...It seems it's all about him and not the Opposition or the collective others.

In his latest ultimatium, he apparently used the first person "I" 93 times as opposed to using "we" only 4. Since hearing the comment, I've noticed that he does that a lot.

I cannot stand hubristic self-promoters (as you all know) and he seems to be one when he's looked at under a certain light.

If Iggy wanted to gain points with the public, he would have come out and said 'No, this isn't the time, it's not in the best interests of the country to spend money on an election right now.'

Instead he waffles, and waffles and makes himself look more and more like Dion. Nice.
