yet the appeal is still going forward.

Okay this is just lazy and wasteful government.
Stop the lawsuit now, quit forcing the courts to make law, we need the elected officials to do their damn jobs. No its of course better to have many lawyers and judges and whatever all paid do sit in court. What a joke.

OK, I'm confused. Chomiak, the AG, says they are not going to appeal the ruling, but the Crown is appealing the ruling. So, who the hell is running things? Don't the guys who are appealing the ruling actually work for the Justice Department, of which Chomiak is the Minister of? So, instead of making headlines, why doesn't he just tell the guys that work for him to drop the appeal.

But I guess this way, the dippers can make it appear that they are sticking up for all of us on the unwashed mass, but its really them that are doing this in the first place, but we're all supposed to be dumb enough to think they're doing a great thing so we vote for them next time around. No fricking wonder the NDP keep getting elected.

I don't know how they can fool anyone with this now...they either stop the appeal or allow it...one or the other.

Chomial will have to fish or cut bait on this I believe....as there's far too much on-going publicity on this.

crowned has dropped appeal.

but not because someone told them too.. because they discovered that proper signing was not used... namely there was no sign put up at the end of the construction zones.

so... the judge tossed them because it was wrong, the mayor, the chief of police and the Justice minister said it was wrong and now the crown is abandoning its appeal for a completely different reason.

Where does that leave us? No mans land. Fix the law so it spefically indicates when tickets can be used.

Problem is the goverment cannot do much as they will admit they were wrong and have to refund the tickets paid . This they can't do as they spent it already .

the Nippers don't have to admit they're wrong, the judge already told them. And they've spent all the fines collected for the next 2 centuries.
