Great debate. The nurses union have a clause that says they are supposed to be the 3rd highest paid in the country and that is truly a moronic clause. The separate school divisions and separate teachers associations amount to the same thing without the formality of it being entrenched in a collective agreement.

I have no problem with an honest days pay for an honest days work. I have 2 kids who will be teachers (eventually) and both will have 2 degrees when (if) they graduate. I have 2 kids in Business Administration (should make for some good discussion at family dinners. Can't say I agree with a teachers pay being tied into their education, unless its tied to their job.

I swear that during contract 'negotiations', one side drops their pants and bends over right at the beginning and it goes crazy from there. Guess which side bends over?

Pay them what ever take it off my tax bill make them get there costs under control and go the goverment for more . The school tax is as high as my city bill now , or pretty darn close to it . Tired of the excuses for it .
