When I lived their, we had a bunch of hard working young couples, some older generation couples, many relatives. We had Joe Forkin , his wife and daughter. Joe was an alderman for the City of Wpg, a commie, not a bastard, very quiet , very nice, well rad, and he did a damn good job for his constituents. My Grandfather and Grandmother (theu owned the block) and they actually owned a TV set circa 1952 or 54. I remember watching the CBC start up with their test pattern and then go into the news! very exciting. My Aunt and Uncle lived their. My cousins grandfather and grandmother, My grandfathers sister, and then their were lifelong friends of my parents, the Gallis', the Levinsons. That is 8 of the 22 suites.
The side yard was lawn and I remember playing football, soccer, tag, and their were lots of kids around!
Very good memories!

I never heard of Alderman Forkin!! What was Forkin's ward? What address was the Forkin house? There was only one Forkin child?

(I'm sorry, I could go on and on with that one, but I just couldn't resist)

Martin “Joe” Forkin Jr. (1899-1962)

Radical.
Born in England, he came with his family to Brandon in 1912. He became secretary-treasurer of the Brandon unit of the Provincial Employment Association in 1922 and the secretary of the Brandon Unemployed Workers’s Council in 1927; both organizations were associated with the Communist Party. He ran as a Communist candidate in North Winnipeg in 1930 and organized mine workers in Saskatchewan in 1931. Two years later he ran for mayor of Winnipeg on the Winnipeg Workers’ Election Conference ticket against John Queen, receiving 4,745 votes. Forkin was finally elected to office in 1934 as alderman in Ward Three, serving until 1940. He was re-elected to Winnipeg city council in 1942, and remained a councillor until his death in 1962.
Mr. Forkin was my neighbour , when I lived in the Renfrew Apartments. I never knew that he was a communist. I never knew what a communist was, not that "communists" were "dangerous" to know!

Dear Rosencrentz

Hi there. I wanted to say sorry for getting mad at you for being stuck on katz's butt over in some other thread so no hard feelings eh old chap? Anyways. I see you are all over the place in here so wanted to formally introduce myself. Im Lan. Smile

Also, I noticed that you give out some researched information above there regarding good ol' forkin and I would ask that when you do this if you could cite your reference because you know.. readers should be given the opportunity to know where you got that information from. What if you just made it up? What if you got it from wiki and it was bunk? So many what ifs.....

I have been talking with the web bots guy for the past week or so. He
said there are a lot of things that they got predictions on, but
couldn’t put in print because it was too sensitive, and they were
afraid the men in black would show up at their door and haul them away.
I was going to put an email together this weekend, but now seems as
good a time as any.

Next week, starting the 18th, watch for the US dollar to begin a
downward spiral. The weight of the federal bailout programs, the
current year that ends Sept. 30 deficit of $1.8 trillion (4x the
previous largest deficit in history) and the bond market bubble, will
cause the USD to begin to collapse. He said, at a minimum, 50% decline
by the end of this calendar year. (ON DRUDGE TODAY OBAMA QUOTED AS
SAYING INTEREST RATES ARE ABOUT TO SKYROCKET DUE TO THE FEDERAL BUDGET
DEFICITS: http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aJsSb4qtILhg&refer=worldwide )

Around June 1st riots begin in France . Watch for this key sign as it
is the start of the clock for the next 12 months. Riots in France
spread to UK by July, then to US by mid-late August. On or around
October 26th, without any warning, Israel attacks Iran and probably
with nukes. They see it as a survival move, but the nuclear dust begins
to circle the globe (dust from either the bombs or the nuclear plants
that are bombed, or both).

By Fall the swine flu, which was just a warning shot this Spring,
becomes a full blown, world wide pandemic, and we will all be wearing
dust masks. Food supplies will be drying up and by year end gasoline,
because of the US dollar collapse, could be between $7-8 per gallon. On
or around December 1, N. Korea lobs one or 2 nukes into South Korea .

By this time the world stock markets are in free fall, the Dow will go
to around 1000 by early in 2010, and with the automobile manufactures
basically gone (gone because there is very little demand for new cars
and because they are going into bankruptcy), unemployment will rise to
around 55% in early 2010. The Atlanta paper this morning said as much
as 50% of the GM dealerships could go out of business over the next
couple of months. Think about the ripple effect for all those who
supply the auto industry.

Money as we know it will become worthless over the next couple of
years. Real money will be gold, silver and things that can be traded
for food, like bullets. As hyper deflation hits the assets (real
estate), hyper inflation will hit the commodities (food), and interest
rates will go to double digits almost overnight. (see comment above)

By early November the US government will be in hiding. All the high
profile people who are parading on the TV daily or every other day,
will be totally silent as they realize there is absolutely NOTHING they
can to.

The web bots are either 100% right or 100% wrong on their predictions.
There is no “grey” area, its black or white. They have a 90%+ success
rate since inception, including the forecast of the 911 “pearl harbor
type event”, the great tsunami that killed 300,000 people (predicted
the actual date), and the financial system meltdown, with Oct 7th they
predicted a year ahead of time, being the point of ultimate “release”
of energy (October 10th was the crash low in 2008).

This is a depression of historical proportions. My studies of the
markets led me to believe early on in the decline, which started nearly
2 years ago, that this is what is called a “Grand Supercycle Degree”
event. I have emailed all of you about this before. These kinds of
events last for decades, not just for a few years. Since the Grand
Supercycle Degree up move started in the year 1790 and ended in the
year 2007, that was a 217 year growth cycle. The decay cycle will last
anywhere from .236 x, .333 x or .382x in length. So figure 51 years, 72
years, or 83 years from peak to valley.

The last Grand Supercycle downmove started in 1720 and ended in 1790,
70 years in length, this one will probably be the same or close to it.
72 is ½ of 144, which is one of the key Fibonacci numbers in the
Fibonacci series, and is the natural square of 12.

Stay safe and stay prepared.

But the riots have already started...
France, Italy, Turkey, Gaza Strip, Kosovo, and many other countries are already coping with riots.
One thing will be wrong in the predictions, the price of oil will not go down, even if demand does, because oil has become a precious commodity, similar to gold.
Add things like grain, corn, and fresh water to this list, with their price and demand expected to go up on a day to day basis.

we dont need to blow them up,
just dont tell them that in order for it to work you need to raise a gate, not lower one... no way they will figure that one out
