I am trying to figure out what Mobile phone company I want to use. Right now I may stick to pay-as-you-go, but with Telus, it's a pain in the ass switching numbers when you move provinces. I've used Virgin Mobile and Telus, and there wasn't much difference between cell phone provideers. I think I may have preferred Teuls a little better. Anyone here use koodo? I was checking out their rates, and they seem very reasonable.

I use Rogers and MTS. Not much to choose from...

Rogers and MTS for me as well. MTS has much better coverage rural Manitoba if that's important to you, Rogers 3G network is better and much faster within Winnipeg. The other benefit with Rogers is much better data plans, better phone selection (GSM vs. CDMA with MTs), the ability to buy a wide selection of unlocked phones on the internet cheap if your phone should die, and a much more flexible retentions department. I've been with MTS for over 10 years, with Rogers for the less than 2. Overall I prefer Rogers, but will probably keep 1 phone active on MTS for use outside of city limits. If/when Rogers extends it's network coverage I'll probably drop MTS as quick as possible. Their loyalty department and data plans are a joke.

MTS works for me. Best coverage when I head to Brandon and #1 Daughter (only daughter come to think of it) lives in Brandon so MTS to MTS calls are free, and I'm cheap. #2 & #3 sons also has MTS, so they can call me free anytime. I'm so lucky.

If I remember correctly, Koodo is a subsidiary of Telus, much like Fido is to Rogers?

So if your comfortable with the service Telus has provided (your one of the rare few that I have heard anything good from Telus) then I'd stick with them.

Personally...since I have mostly only lived here, and talk to other people who live here. MTS made the most sense. As stated before, they have better coverage in this province.

I'm currently waiting for the new up and comers in the cell phone market to come online....not sure how long that's going to take to get out here though. But before I'd go signing (if you can wait) I'd like to see what their offerings are, and what the other established players do to compete.

I haven't heard anything bad about telus.... that's what i use.

I've heard roger's plans are a trap, though.
