Apparently there is a crap load of Pro Tamil protestors massing on parliment hill. They are demanding Canada impose economic sanctions against the Sri Lankan government..
They want Canada to do so, because Sri Lanka is attempting to wipe out an organization that Canada has branded as terrorist.
I have to admit I dont know much about this area of the world. I do remember that the Tamil Tigers have done some pretty terrible things. But if Canada imposes economic sanctions on Sri Lanka becase some civilians are being killed in a war on terror would we also then not have to impose economic sanctions on USA, Israel and Canada as well???
