you would think a human being dieing would generate more interest then arts funding... but take a gander at TomB's recent blogs.. That art funding one, people went crazy on it... now for the Sinclair death one... 3 measily responses...

Is it maybe because the Sinclair one is so old and people are worn out talking about it? Or is that since we all get treated the same when we go to the doctor.. no one really has a second thought about someone dieing... but lots of us are outraged over someone being given money?

Public Works Minister Christian Paradis was caught flat-footed when a federal funding body eliminated a $325,000 grant to a major telescope and astronomy centre in his riding.
Why would anyone fund a telescope centre? They should be able to pay for it themselves, or from money from visitors!
