If a course is only 2 hours per week then that is even easier to correct the teaching with the existing professors.
teach 6 courses per week x 2 hours= 12 hours compared to other commie bastards having to work 40 hours.
That would have the actual reduction of 50% in the need for professors, and if they need an hour to prep for an hour of classes, then there is still time to work on rsearch. No where does it say that all input has to be done in 40 hours, right. The research can be done after 40 hours, as an executive with a firm could actually work 50-60 hours in a week without even believing that they were being worked hard.
The system could improve very easily, and even if the research portion took a hit, when you are talking about an arts course, who cares??

Some dumb ass commie bastard writes in the letters to the editor in the Globe and mail today that 50% of of teaching at Canadian Universities is done by contract faculty making less than $20,000 per year.
So according to this nitwit, Humberto da Silva, Toronto, an obvious commie bastard from Peru or Cuba, we hire all these extra personnel to teach while the professors do research on how Shakespeare had a problem accessing the proper type of ink in the year 1778 during the month of february, on Tuesdays in the morning hours between 10:45 to 11:27.
