I found that annoying too. However, my solution is to hold down the control key as you click the thumb icon. This opens a new tab for the page, but the page you're on won't change and you can continue reading.

Not "credits", "cred", short for "credibility"... You earn one credit when peeps agree with you (thumbs up) and lose one credit when peeps disagree.

Weird, I'm not seeing "tu/td" in ANY browser now.

I've tried:
Internet Explorer from version 4 - current (windows and mac)
Safari (Mac)
Mozilla/Firefox/Seamonkey (Linux, Mac, Windows, Solaris)
Opera (Mac + Windows, can't remember version number)
iCab (Mac)

and a few others.

Do you have any blocking on the geocities.com domain? (where the pics are currently being served from) I could try hosting the icons on servimg....
