People do change the channel once in a while, Deank. I watch shows on CBC, Global, and CTV. They are all competing for my viewership.

sigh...yeah I know... but the way advertising is done is based on the average or most likely viewer of a particular show and what that person is likely to purchase..

ie they are called soap operas because.............

Dean if you don't sell enough it is tough to stay in bussiness and the CBC just ask for and most times gets more money . Private can't do that for ever . The bank says no . Trust me the CBC should have died years ago if it were private .

It just makes my stomach turn. Why give money to bad businesses ?

well they will be giving unlimited cash to the CMHR, a birthchild of the Aspers. Why should taxpayers bail oout Canwest, another Asper company? As most pro-museum lobbyists say, we should mind oour own business, and not ask how our taxmoney is being spent...

Why single out the CMHR HA? Is not your argument applicable to every single federal museum in Canada? And other artists that receive grants? So argue to your hearts content. Fair is fair...

Why are so many transfixed over the Aspers?

What is good for one is good for all and they only want tax breaks for all industry players not just them and Izzy started this position 20 yrs ago .

Not the bottomless pit of money the CBC has sucked out of our wallets .
