I've recently started collecting the Stargate SG-1 seasons on DVD.
Some of the storylines are quite fascinating...and controversial if you pay attention.
If you haven't watched them (for whatever reason), I'd recommend you take a look. Almost every controversy discussed here in the Sandbox has been presented in some form throughout the show. Everything from crime, to religion, to urban sprawl.
It's quite amazing to see, knowing most of the episodes are more than a decade old...yet the discussions continue.
